Yasmeen Lari

Yasmeen Lari is Pakistan's first female architect. She is best known for her involvement in the intersection of architecture and social justice. Yasmeen Lari has been awarded the prestigious Jane Drew Prize 2020. The award recognizes the contributions of women architects. She has also won the prestigious Japanese Fukuoka Prize in the Arts and Culture category for 2016. Lari is the third Pakistani recipient of the Fukuoka Pize with qawwali maestro Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and social scientist Dr Uxi Mufti as the previous winners.
